Reviews are very critical for business. It helps in many ways. Constant improvement is possible through it. As far as app is concerned, reviews are very important because it affects its visibility on the app store. More reviews help in the process of app development too. Following are some suggestions for encouraging users to give their reviews:

• The simplest way is the use of app review plugin. With the help of it, asking for reviews become easy. More we ask for reviews, chances are there that we will get it. One of such plugin is Appriater. It hardly takes 2 minutes to drop it into your app. It prompts user to give review after certain number of use or after some given time.
• Another simple way is to give incentive for giving reviews. Users generally don’t get motivated to give reviews. But if we offer them some incentives then there are good chances of getting their response. One such example is Celebrity Guess. It reminds users to review the app after they finish first 4 levels of the game. It rewards the user irrespective of him giving the review.
• Getting customer feedback is possible with the help of providing direct support to app users. It is very easily possible with the help of integrating Helpshift in the app. It is possible to communicate directly with the app user with the two way instant messaging window.
• Another important factor is the timing of asking the review. It is very important to ask at appropriate time for the review. If the review is asked on appropriate timings, there are high chance of getting better review and vice-a-versa.
• One more encouraging way to increase user review is by running a contest on various platforms. For example, Touch Arcade has a separate section for the same reason. There are many different ways to reward the winners like gifting iTunes gift card. But one need to show transparency while running the contest.
